Empowerment Workshop: Self-defence and Assertiveness Training for Women* and Girls who are affected by Racism

The empowerment workshop for Women *and girls will place emphasis on different methods of assertiveness and self-defence. In two days, the participants learn how to defend themselves against verbal and physical assaults and how to protect themselves. It is not about learning complicated practices, but about intuitive and easy to use tricks.Frau mit Kopftuch

 

 

The workshop is exclusively intended for womxn, girls and persons understanding themselves as womxn, who experience racism due to ascribed attributes. The location of the training will only be disclosed after a binding registration in order to grant the participants a safe space.

The professional trainer Thi Quynh-Nhu Tran will instruct the workshop.

 

Who can participate? Girls from 16 years and Women*, who are affected by racist discrimination. BPoCs only.

Date: September 28 from 10 am to 5 pm and September 29 from 9 am to 3 pm (Saturday  and Sunday)

Venue: Magdeburg, the exact location of the training will be disclosed after a binding registration

The training is free of charge. Snacks, beverages and light meal at lunchtime will be provided.
